The Royals answered scoring 3 runs in the 5th inning and added 5 more in the 7th.
Whit Merrifield was 2 for 5 with 3 RBI.
Carlos Santana drove in 2 runs with a single and sacrifice fly.
Kris Bubic was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 5 strikeouts.
The Royals and Twins play again Saturday afternoon with Ervin Santana making the start for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 1:10p.
The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
