A fiery crash closed Ohio 8 in both directions on Akron's North Side.
AKRON, Ohio -- A section of Ohio 8 on Akron’s North Side closed in both directions following a fiery crash involving a car and a tanker truck, according to Akron police and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Ohio 8 north between Tallmadge and Howe avenues, police said in a news release.
The crash caused the car to be engulfed in flames. Police have not said whether anyone was hurt in the crash.
Traffic is delayed by about 30 minutes as of 8:45 a.m., ODOT reported.
