TWICE make history as the first-ever Asian female act to sell out SoFi Stadium - allkpop

Girl group TWICE continues to prove its global popularity!

The nonet's agency JYP Entertainment recently announced on its official SNS channel the first 17 tour plans to be held in a total of 14 regions in Korea, Australia, Japan, and North America, along with the news of TWICE's fifth world tour 'READY TO BE'.

Among them, the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium in June and MetLife Stadium in New York in July were performances that boast an expanded scale and size compared to the Los Angeles Bank of California Stadium encore concert, which TWICE achieved during their first North American stadium performance in May last year.

On March 22 (local time), tickets for the group's performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which will be held on June 10, were opened and sold out at a rapid pace as proof of keen interest. As a result, TWICE became the first-ever girl group and first Asian female act to sell out their performances at SoFi Stadium in the U.S. and the second Asian act to do so after BTS, showing off their worldwide popularity by setting a record of selling out two consecutive North American stadium performances.

Recently, the girl group announced four new additional shows in Oakland, Houston, Chicago, and Toronto due to popular demand.

Meanwhile, TWICE will begin the first part of their 5th world tour on April 15 with performances at the KSPO DOME in Korea. Then they will head to major cities in Australia, Japan, Canada, and the United States, eventually reaching Truist Park in Atlanta on July 9.
