The New York Rangers signed forward Mika Zibanejad to an eight-year extension on Sunday. The deal is reportedly worth $8.5 million per year.
Zibanejad, 28, is entering his sixth season in New York after starting his career with the Ottawa Senators. He had 50 points (24 goals, 26 assists) in 56 games last season, the second-most on the team.
Zibanejad had a career-high 41 goals and 75 points in the 2019-20 season.
