NFL odds, lines, picks, spreads, bets, predictions for Week 8, 2021: Model high on Bills, Colts - CBS Sports

asianpostmedia.blogspot.com

If the season ended today, the Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) would have the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture. The Bengals have a strong chance to move to 6-2 against the Jets (1-5) with New York missing quarterback Zach Wilson (knee). The Bengals are 9.5-point favorites at Caesars Sportsbook in the latest Week 8 NFL odds, while Joe Burrow has entered the MVP discussion. However, at nearly 10 points, it's one of the largest NFL spreads of the week.

Burrow's Bengals could make for a popular choice for Week 8 NFL predictions considering the Jets' defense has allowed over 1,000 total yards in the last two games combined. All of the Week 8 NFL lines are listed below, and SportsLine's advanced computer model has all the NFL betting advice and predictions you need to make the best Week 8 NFL picks now.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,700 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. The model enters Week 8 of the 2021 season on an incredible 126-85 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 8 NFL odds from Caesars and locked in picks for every NFL matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 8 NFL predictions

One of the model's strongest Week 8 NFL picks is that the Bills (-13.5) cover at home against the Dolphins. Despite coming up short versus the Titans in Week 6, you can make the case that Buffalo is the best team in the AFC, if not the league. Buffalo ranks second in scoring, just as it did last year when it made the AFC title game, but the defense has made a massive jump from 16th in points allowed to second.

The Bills have the No. 1 total defense, while Miami ranks among the bottom five in points scored and yards gained, both of which were apparent in Buffalo's 35-0 thrashing of Miami in Week 2. The Dolphins have dropped four straight against the spread and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa being reinserted into the lineup hasn't changed Miami's fortunes.

Tagovailoa is projected to throw more interceptions than touchdowns versus Buffalo's swarming defense, while Josh Allen continues to build his MVP candidacy. SportsLine's model has Allen topping 300 yards through the air and also gives him a better chance of rushing for a touchdown than any of Miami's running backs. The model sees this game as a one-sided affair with Buffalo covering in almost 60 percent of simulations.

Another one of its Week 8 NFL predictions: The Colts (+1) cover against the Titans well over 50 percent of the time. Few teams are playing as well as Indianapolis, which went on the road and knocked off the 49ers in sloppy conditions in Week 7. It was the Colts' third win in their last four games and now they return to Indianapolis for a three-game homestand.

Titans running back Derrick Henry may be the current rushing leader, but Jonathan Taylor is second and averaging a full yard more per carry than Henry (5.5 to 4.5). The Titans rank 25th in the league in yards per attempt allowed, so Taylor could run wild versus Tennessee's defense.

The Colts are projected to cover the spread in over 50 percent of simulations. With the running games of both teams taking center stage, this is expected to be a low-scoring game. Thus, the model has the under (49) hitting over 50 percent of the time.

How to make Week 8 NFL picks

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other game on the Week 8 NFL schedule, and it's calling for a Super Bowl contender to go down hard. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine.

So which NFL picks can you make with confidence, and which Super Bowl contender goes down hard? Check out the latest NFL odds below, then visit SportsLine to see which teams win and cover the spread, all from a proven computer model that has returned almost $7,700 since its inception, and find out.
