Men's 8+ Places Second at Head of the Charles Regatta - Drexel Dragons

BOSTON – The Drexel men's rowing team turned in one of its finest ever performances at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday afternoon, claiming a second place finish in the men's collegiate 8+.

The Dragons placed second out of 39 teams in the men's collegiate 8+. Trading leads with MIT, Drexel, rowing in Lois Krall II, finished with a time of 14:57.553, one of just three schools to go under 15 minutes for the race. 

In the men's collegiate 4+, DU, competing in Dan Lyons, also turned in a strong performance, finishing ninth out of 40 squads with a time of 17:17.8.

Drexel also had a women's alumnae boat race on Saturday, which finished the alumnae eight+ race in 19:17.233.

Up Next
The Dragons return to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on October 30-31.
