Hong Kong is likely to issue a higher storm warning signal late Tuesday afternoon as severe tropical cyclone Kompasu approaches, prompting authorities to shut all schools.
The Hong Kong Observatory is considering raising the warning signal from No. 3 to No. 8, the third-highest level on its scale, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time, according to a statement on its website.
