The Bears boast a young but talented 2021-22 roster, which includes senior Madaline Callaway, a second-team NCEA All-American in Reining; and junior Savannah Hemby, an All-Big 12 selection in Fences. Despite BU's 3-8 record last season, the Bears upset No. 1-ranked Auburn to reach the NCEA National Semifinals for the first time under head coach Casie Maxwell.
Following last year's abbreviated schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Baylor is set to return to its year-round schedule in 2021-22, competing in six meets this fall and seven contests in the spring. The Bears will kick things off with the Green & Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The regular season officially gets underway on Sept. 24, as Baylor travels to take on No. 10 UT Martin before opening the home schedule two weeks later versus No. 4 Oklahoma State on Oct. 8.
