The Asian Culture and Education Society youth committee and volunteers recently donated thousands of items to the Plano Police Department to assist victims of crime.
Donated items included 4,000 face masks, 50 security cameras, clothes, vitamins, cleaning supplies and books, Jan Xie, president of the society, said in an email.

The books were collected by students of St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas.
The Asian Culture and Education Society focuses on fundraisers, community culture and education events, and provides training for its volunteers.
Among its other events, the society collects personal protective equipment for health care workers and helps communities celebrate Asian holidays.
