Hillmon made four straight free throws to start the second quarter, pulling Michigan within 10 (27-17) with 9:15 left in the period.

Michigan cut the deficit to 10 points several times during the second quarter but could not get within single digits as the Terps scored 12 of the 15 final points for a 46-26 halftime lead.

The Wolverines relied heavily on the inside duo of Hailey Brown and Hillmon in the third quarter, as the pair scored Michigan's first 14 points of the period. Michigan scored 18 in the quarter, getting the final four points from Leigha Brown, but Maryland headed to the final stanza with a 68-44 advantage.
