OH weather: Compare forecasts as winter storm warning issued; 8-10 inches of snow predicted for Northeast Ohi - cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Presidents Day is predicted to be a snowy, blustery day in Northeast Ohio.

The National Weather Service has put a winter storm warning from 1 a.m. Monday through 1 a.m. Tuesday for a large swath of the region. Heavy snow is expected to fall, with a possibility of even a foot of snow for some areas by Tuesday afternoon.

Sunday, Feb. 14

Daytime: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23 degrees, with light winds from the north.

Sunday night: A chance of snow overnight, mainly after 3 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a low around 17 degrees. The chance of precipitation is about 30%, and the new snow accumulation is likely less than one inch.

Monday, Feb. 15

Daytime: Snow is predicted to fall all day; the chance of precipitation is 100%. The high temperature will be around 22 degrees, with a northern wind of 7-9 mph. Snow accumulation is predicted to be about 2 to 4 inches.

Monday night: The snow will continue to come down, as the chance of precipitation remains 100%. Temperature lows will hover around 13 degrees, with northern wind of about 10 mph. New snow accumulation ramps up to 3-7 inches.

Daytime: Cloudy and bitterly cold, with small chance of a stray snow flurry.

Sunday night: Snow may begin to fall close to dawn. Otherwise, cloudy and cold, with a low temperature around 20 degrees. Snow accumulation could approach one inch.

Monday, Feb. 15

Daytime: Snowy and just as cold, with the chance of precipitation around 72%. High temperatures will be around 26 degrees, and snow accumulation is predicted to be 1-2 inches.

Monday night: The snow continues to fall, with a chance of precipitation about 70%. Low temperature around 17 degrees, and colder with the wind chill. Three to six inches could be on the ground by morning.

Sunday night: Snow to begin falling after midnight, with a chance of precipitation between 70-80%. Around one inch could accumulate overnight. Low temperatures around 21 degrees, with northern winds blowing 10-15 mph.

Daytime: Snow likely to fall most of the day, with a chance of snow around 90%. About 1-3 inches of snow may accumulate during the day. High temperatures around 24 degrees.

Monday night: The chance of snow increases to 100%, as a winter storm begins to form in earnest. Gusts of 20-30 mph will blow snow around. Accumulation is expected to be about 3-5 inches, with low temperatures around 16 degrees.

Cloudy with a few breaks of sunshine, with temperatures in the 20s and teens.

Monday, Feb. 15

Daytime: Snow will begin to fall more seriously, with the chance that 2-4 inches will come down before Monday evening. The chance of precipitation will fluctuate through the day, between 30-70%. High temperatures will be around 24 degrees.

Monday night: Snowfall will increase, with a chance of 4-8 inches to fall overnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Low temperatures will hover around 16 degrees.

Sunday, Feb. 14

Cloudy, with a small chance of precipitation. Temperatures will be around 23 degrees during the day and drop to about 13 degrees overnight.

Monday, Feb. 15

Daytime: Widespread snow will begin to fall early Monday until the afternoon. Two to four inches could fall in that time. High temperatures will be in the upper teens.

Monday night: Snow will continue to come down overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, bringing a chance of an additional 3-7 inches.
