
In addition, the Buffaloes' postponed Pac-12 Conference game at Arizona, originally scheduled for on Dec. 2, has been rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 28, in Tucson. Tip time and television arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Colorado State determined this week it would not be able to participate in the Dec. 8 contest due to COVID-19 concerns. The Rams' basketball program originally went on pause Nov. 20 and has yet to play a game.
Colorado School of Mines is an NCAA Division II school located in Golden, and a member of the prestigious Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, a league the Buffaloes were charter members of in the early 1900s. The Buffaloes hosted the Orediggers in an exhibition game to tip off the 2018-19 season; a game in which Colorado prevailed, 66-57.
Mines has had three of its first four games postponed, defeating MSU Denver, 82-48, on Nov. 28 in its lone game so far. The Orediggers are scheduled to host South Dakota Mines on Friday.
The Buffaloes had temporarily paused operations on Tuesday, which forced the postponement of their game at Arizona. Colorado was able to resume practice on Thursday with the approval of the school's medical staff and campus health officials after two days of successful tracing and testing. The Buffaloes, 2-0 overall, will host Washington State Saturday at 2 p.m. in their home opener.
