asianpostmedia.blogspot.com
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2020 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 13 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.

Deante Burton, DB – Dallas Cowboys
Burton, who was part of the active roster in Week 3, is on the Cowboys' practice squad. Dallas lost at Philadelphia, 23-9, on Sunday night to drop to 2-6 on the season. The Cowboys host Pittsburgh on Sunday.

B.J. Finney, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
One of three former Wildcats players to switch NFL teams in the last week, Finney was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Cincinnati Bengals last Wednesday. Finney was not able to play in the Bengals' 31-20 win over Tennessee due to NFL testing protocols. However, he will be eligible to play following Cincinnati's bye this week. Cincinnati is 2-5-1 this season.

Elijah Lee, LB – Cleveland Browns
Lee, who signed with Detroit this offseason, was waived by the Lions and picked up by the Browns last Friday. Lee was ineligible to play in the Browns' 16-6 home loss to Las Vegas due to NFL testing protocols. He will be eligible to play after Cleveland's bye week, one they enter with a 5-3 record.

Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett earned his 62nd-career start, hauling in four passes for 33 yards, in Seattle's 37-27 home win over San Francisco. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native is tied for first in the NFL this season with seven receiving touchdowns, while his 49 catches rank ninth and his 575 receiving yards rank 13th. The Seahawks lead the NFC West with a 6-1 record, and they travel to face Buffalo on Sunday.

Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Football Team
Lucas, a sixth-year veteran, and the Washington Football Team were off last week. Entering the second half of the season with a 2-5 record, Washington hosts the New York Giants on Sunday.

Matt McCrane, K – Cleveland Browns
Matt McCrane is on Cleveland's practice after signing with the organization in Week 3. The Browns lost at home to Las Vegas, 16-6, to fall to 5-3 on the season prior to their bye week.

Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Making his first-career start, Pringle came away with three receptions for 22 yards – which included a 13-yard catch on a fake punt to pick up a first down – while he returned three kickoffs for 78 yards in Kansas City's 35-9 victory over the New York Jets. This season, Pringle has six receptions for 91 yards and has returned four kickoffs for 180 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs are now 7-1 this season to hold a 2.5 game lead in the AFC West prior to hosting Carolina on Sunday.

D.J. Reed Jr., DB – Seattle Seahawks
Seeing his first action of the season after spending the first part of the year on injured reserve, Reed tallied his first-career interception and had a pass breakup to go along with six tackles in Seattle's 37-27 victory over San Francisco. The win carried extra weight for Reed, who was waived by the 49ers prior to the season, a team that drafted him in the fifth round in 2018. The win pushed the Seahawks' record to 6-1 to lead the NFC West, and Seattle travels to face Buffalo on Sunday.

Dalton Risner, OL – Denver Broncos
Risner, who started 23rd-career game, was in for all 65 offensive snaps in Denver's 31-30 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Broncos trailed, 24-3, in the third quarter but outscored the Chargers 28-6 the rest of the way, including a touchdown on the final play of the game. Risner, who has started every game in his career, has seen time on 1,427 of the Broncos' 1,497 offensive snaps (95.3%) since he began his career last year. The Broncos are now 3-4 this season and travel to face Atlanta on Sunday.

Duke Shelley, DB – Chicago Bears
Shelley, a sixth-round pick in last year's draft, was inactive for Chicago's 26-23 overtime loss to New Orleans. The Bears fell to 5-3 this season, a half game behind Green Bay for first place in the NFC North. Chicago travels to face Tennessee on Sunday.

Reggie Walker – Arizona Cardinals
Walker is on the practice squad for the Arizona Cardinals, who were off last week. He was elevated for the Cardinals' Week 6 win at Dallas, a game in which he recorded a tackle. With a 5-2 record this season to sit a half game back of the NFC West lead, Arizona hosts Miami on Sunday.

Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair was inactive due to injury for Chicago's 26-23 loss to New Orleans in overtime. It was the first time in his career he did not start a game, snapping a streak of 71-straight starts. The Bears, now 5-3 this season, travel to face Tennessee on Sunday.

Jordan Willis, DE – San Francisco 49ers
Willis was traded from the New York Jets to San Francisco last Tuesday, and he was ineligible to play in the 49ers 37-27 loss at Seattle due to NFL testing protocols. Willis should be able to play on Thursday when San Francisco hosts Green Bay. The 49ers enter that game with a 4-4 record.
