TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The eighth week of the 2020-21 season in the National Football League wrapped up on Monday. Below is a look at some of the highlights from week eight by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.

Week eight saw former Alabama defensive backs put on a show, highlighted by rookie Trevon Diggs' two-interception performance for the Dallas Cowboys. Diggs added four pass breakups and seven tackles to his stat sheet on Sunday. Also playing a big role in his team's defensive performance was Minkah Fitzpatrick. In Pittsburgh's win over their divisional rival, the Baltimore Ravens, Fitzpatrick recorded seven tackles and forced a fumble. He then capped his day with a pass breakup at the end to help the Steelers defense stop Baltimore's last second attempt at a win.

Two other Tide defensive backs led their respective teams in tackles this past Sunday. Veteran Kareem Jackson recorded 12 tackles in the Denver Broncos' victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Also standing out was Cleveland Browns safety Ronnie Harrison. The first-year Browns defender posted 10 tackles and added a pass breakup in his team's matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.

On the offensive side of the ball, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones didn't disappoint on Thursday Night Football. Jones hauled in a team-high seven passes for 137 yards. Also making an impact at wide receiver was rookie Jerry Jeudy. The Denver wideout hauled in four passes for 73 yards. Jeudy currently leads the Broncos in receiving yards on the year. Both receivers were able to help their teams to a victory this past week.

Two former Tide running backs provided solid performances on Sunday. Josh Jacobs helped lead the way in the Raiders' 16-6 win over the Browns. The Los Vegas tailback carried the ball 31 times for 128 yards on a snowy, rainy and wet day in Cleveland. Jacobs currently ranks in the top 10 in the league in rushing yards this season. New England Patriots running back Damien Harris reached the end zone for the first time in his young NFL career. Harris carried the ball 16 times for 102 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown run. Despite his efforts, the Patriots fell short to the Buffalo Bills.
