Eight more people have died from the novel coronavirus in Michigan.
The state reported the deaths, three of whom were identified from a review of records, along with 838 more people known to be infected on Saturday.
In total, the state has had 6,534 confirmed deaths from the virus and 106,215 confirmed cases, according to data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
The state continues to have a relatively steady positivity rate.
On Saturday, the state reported 1,225 out of 36,071 diagnostic test results returned the prior day were positive. That's a rate of 3.4%.

The state has a fatality rate of 6.2% in known cases.
There are also a reported 80,678 recoveries, or patients with confirmed cases alive 30 days post-onset, as of Sept. 4.
The state has reported 272 probable coronavirus deaths along with 10,976 probable cases.
The probable cases combined with the confirmed cases make for a cumulative total of 6,806 deaths and 117,191 cases in Michigan.
