The aquarium has also implemented compensation reduction for all employees, with “cuts ranging up to 30 percent, and the president & CEO taking the highest adjustment," the statement said. A spokeswoman later reached out to clarify that the CEO and senior leadership were taking the 30 percent hits, while “the cuts for all remaining employees are 5 percent or less.”
