Human Rights Watch says people around the world are confronting the abuses of autocrats and pushing back against intolerant populists. In its annual report, the advocacy group says 2018 saw growing opposition to authoritarian trends in Western democracies, as well as countries with traditionally controlling governments. And as VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports, groups often organized to support the rights of people in other countries.
