U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says the violence against the Rohingya Muslim population in Myanmar is "ethnic cleansing." The written statement comes after weeks of pressure from U.S. lawmakers and international human rights groups for the Trump administration to make firm its position on the crisis that has led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Rohingya from Myanmar, also known as Burma.
